Who Created Huckabee: Late Night Hosts Obrien, Colbert And Stewart Fight To Take Credit

Here is a fun article from Fox News about "Who Created Huckabee."

Who created the Huckaboom?  . . . the true origin behind Mike Huckabee’s validity as a candidate for the GOP nomination stems not by the aforementioned reasons but from late night comedy. Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central’s “Colbert Report” attributes Huckabee’s success to the “Colbert Bump”, that Huck received after appearing on his show a few times.

But recently, a nasty feud, not unlike Romney vs McCain and Huckabee (but played for laughs), has arisen among popular late night talk shows hosts. NBC’s Conan O’Brien took credit for Huckabee’s rise because he used to have a regular segment that would highlight an unintentionally funny clip from Huckabee supporter, Chuck Norris’ old show: Walker, Texas Ranger. O’Brien’s argument was that since he created Norris ( or the resurgence of Norris career), and Norris supported Huckabee, thus, O’Brien created Huckabee . . .

Stewart’s argument was that he had let O’Brien on his MTV show back in the 90’s before his tenure as late night talk show host. Therefore, Stewart argued because HE made O’Brien, and O’Brien made Huckabee, then by that logic, Stewart made Huckabee. So much drama! The heated, and hilarious back and forth finally came down to a good old fashioned brawl amongst the rivals on Conan O’Brien’s show, Late Night on Monday.

Who won?
